Join us in East River Park in NYC for a sounding meditation space at sunset on the last Saturday of summer. This labyrinth, designed by Diana Carulli, provides the setting for a 3-hour installation/performance composed by D. Edward Davis and performed by flutist Philip Snyder. Feel free to stop by for any portion of the event.
instill is a piece for instrumentalist, guide, and meditators in a labyrinth. The 3-hour installation/performance invites visitors to walk a path while shaking jars of seeds and humming along with the simple melodies of the sustaining instrument.
The labyrinth is located in East River Park in Manhattan near the intersection of E Houston St. and FDR Drive. The closest subway stop is the 2 Ave stop on the F train. The M14D bus stop at E Houston St/Mangin St is directly across from the park entrance.
