We invite you to join the Talea Ensemble for an all American program of new and recent works by Shawn Jaeger, Ben Johnston, and Christopher Trapani. Hailing from Kentucky, Georgia, and Louisiana, each composer’s musical thinking is nourished in some way by Appalachian folksong, even though their works explore a variety of musical interests—from the distinctive beauty of Just Intonation to innovative uses of field recordings, spectral techniques, or audio technology.

Talea is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
