Allan RandallBrooklyn, NY
Allan Randall is a percussionist that was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was a student under David Clive and Frank Cassara. He went to Edward R. Murrow High School as well as Brooklyn College for his B.A. in Music Performance. He is now working on his Masters in Music Performance at Brooklyn College. Allan plays around in orchestras, wind bands, pit orchestras, chamber ensembles and operas all around the city.
He has a deep interest in musicals. He has played percussion for the musicals: Les Miserables, Crazy For You, Camelot, Hairspray, Ragtime, Little Shop of Horrors, Bye Bye Birdie, The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, a new musical called Morning Side written by Jarrett Winters Morley, and Kiss Me, Kate. He has played drum-set for the musicals: Legally Blonde, Bye Bye Birdie (a second time), Curtains, Company and is now in a production of Tick, Tick… Boom!
He has played in many orchestras and wind bands including The Staten Island Philharmonic, The Brooklyn College Orchestra, The Brooklyn College Wind Ensemble, The Brooklyn College Student Ensemble (which he was one of the creators for), The Amore Opera Company, Richmond County Orchestra, The United Nations Symphony Orchestra, Litha Symphony Orchestra, The Port Washington Community Wind Band, The Brooklyn Community Wind Band, and Orchestra Amadeus.
