Created for choreographer Kate Jordan of Arts & Above. This work showcases the realities of a caregiver, as she deals with a person with a severe illness.
An excerpt of a work in progress which will be the soundtrack for a “dance for the camera” project. In partnership with co-founding director and choreographer Kate Jordan of Arts & Above, I am developing the score with nature made sounds, letters and texts I have written over time, and a few acoustic and electric instruments. With this work, we want to address addiction as a human condition, and how the rest of the world sees those who suffer with this problem.
A part of a larger work revealing personal experiences and realizations of my own. As an immigrant to the USA, born in a war plagued Angola, and raised in Cuba of the 90’s, I reveal truths about the person I have become, and how life shaped me from infancy, through adolescence, and into adulthood.
