Diary of the One Swelling Sea

This music is part of a three-way collaboration with poet Jill McCabe Johnson (www.jillmccabejohnson.com) and visual artist Corinne Duchesne (www.corinneduchesne.com) in which the viewer/listener/reader is invited to enter into the realm of the ocean and participate in the water’s relationship with the earth, animals, and humans. It is a powerful immersive experience and was premiered at the Berman Museum of Art on the Ursinus College campus in Pennsylvania in the Spring of 2014. The four movements play in a continuous loop.

God’s Grandeur

Schizocosa

Schizocosa is a work of musique concrète that is built entirely on sounds produced by arachnids. Part of a three-way collaboration with choreographer Susan Levine and biologist Eileen Hebets, this work takes the research in arachnid communication by Dr. Hebets and transforms it into a beautiful soundscape for dance. Many of the arachnid-produced sounds have been transformed through temporal and pitch manipulation, but there are still some left unprocessed. It has been performed in NE, KS, and CO.
