Hailing from France, Geraldine Anello is a pianist, music director and conductor. Her career encompasses both the classical and the musical theatre worlds. Recent musical theatre credits include Dave Malloy’s acclaimed off-Broadway electro-pop opera Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812 as a pianist; music director of the New York premiere of Mr. Chickee’s Funny Money (nominated for an off-Broadway Alliance Award) at the Atlantic Theatre Company, with original music by Motown songwriter Lamont Dozier, and music assistant on the New York Premiere of Transport at the Irish Rep Theatre, and assistant music director on their annual gala at Broadway’s Al Hirshfield Theatre. She served as associate music director of Wanda’s Monster written by Nick Jr. children’s recording artist Laurie Berkner during its run at New York’s Vineyard Theatre. With a passion for new works, she has been music director and assistant music director on multiple readings, including Raymond Luedecke’s My Life with Pablo Nureda, Kristen Rosenfeld’s Cardboard Castle, Len Moors’ Petrified, and By Wing and By Wheel directed by Jayne Atkinson from House of Cards.
