Monte WeberBrooklyn, NY
New York based sound artist and composer Monte Weber’s work centers around interactive technology, computer assisted compositional processes, and wearable technology using these tools to explore live physical performance and sound creation in the concert hall. Weber’s music can be heard in in venues throughout the country including Kaneko Museum Omaha NE, National Sawdust, BK and Lincoln Center NYC. Weber currently teaches Music Technology at Montclair State University.
Automata, a chamber ensemble and live electronics piece commissioned and performed by International Contemporary Ensemble. Premiered at National Sawdust BK. 2017.
A solo piece for physical controller instrument designed/composed/performed by Monte Weber at Abrons Underground NYC, during openICE residency.
Visions is a performable saxophone installation using an altered tenor sax, interior mounted camera, and live visual projection. Made in collaboration with and commissioned by Ryan Muncy (international Contemporary Ensemble) NYC premiere at Abrons Underground NYC, 2015.
