Music 4 Scenes Carolyn Richardson

Carolyn Richardson is a music supervisor, singer, composer, and sound supervisor for film, TV and digital media. She is the founder of Music 4 Scenes, a music supervision firm, and performs as Music Carolyn as a singer in Los Angeles, California where she lives with her husband and 3 children. 

Raised in Houston, Texas, Carolyn started her musical career in Chicago where she started performing professionally at the age of 20 in the band Taniq. After finishing the Chicago Arts Program for the ACM, Carolyn began her work on the business side of music and worked for Sony Music Distribution and Live Nation working with artists, labels, and promoters in the rich live music scene in and around Chicago. After getting married, Carolyn settled in Los Angeles, California and joined Entertainment Tonight and the Insider as music supervior where she remained until 2017, when she started her own music supervision company. She never stopped singing and enjoys a regular performance and recording schedule for other artists in the LA-area. She has performed with the band Taniq and as a solo performer and released, performed on, or was responsible for the music supervision for dozens of projects. 

Carolyn co-lead her own 6-piece band called Taniq. Their debut recording, The Life and Times of Love, was called “a modern-day masterpiece in Soul music” by Soultracks.com
