Thank You Forrest

This is a piece I choreographed in 2014. Consequently I won a Bessie award for Sound Design later that year for this piece. It incorporates electronic music production with acoustic Tap Dance and Body Percussion. This is the second piece I developed using this instrumentation that has been in a state of constant evolution. I also have created a series of solos along with a large scale collaboration with Michelle Dorrance and Dorrance Dance entitled ETM.

Improvised Tap Solo

This is an improvised tap dance solo, in the most traditional setting for tap dance. A small jazz ensemble and a solo tap dancer. Improvisation is an essential part of a tap dancers training and practice, being directly related to American jazz heritage.
