Ori Flomin’s Choreography has been presented in New York at Dance Theater Workshop, PS 122, Movement Research at Judson Church, DanceMopolitan at Joe’s Pub, and Dance New Amsterdam as well as internationally in Austria, Japan, Norway, and Israel. He created commissioned work for Purchase Dance Company (2013) , The Barnard Project at Dance Theater Workshop (2005 and 2010), The New School (2011), and The Dance School of Norway, (2009, 2011).
He is a 2014 MCAF Grantee from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. He was a 2005 Movement Research Artist-in-Residence and 2003 Dance Space Artist in Residence.
Ori served as assistant to the Artistic Director of Stephen Petronio Dance Company, for which he also danced from 1991-1999, and for whom he continues to set work internationally. He also had the pleasure of dancing with Neil Greenberg, Molissa Fenley, Maria Hassabi, Kevin Wynn and Michael Clark among others.
Ori is a frequent guest teacher for many companies and schools in Europe such as ImpulsTanz, P.A.R.T.S., Sasha Waltz Company, London contemporary dance School among others. In NYC He currently teaches at Barnard College and is on faculty at Movement Research. He was also a guest faculty at The New School, SUNY Purchase, and Rutgers College
