Spreckels Organ Society

Ross Porter, Executive Administrator - San Diego, CA

The Spreckels Organ Society is a volunteer-driven 501-C-3 non-profit founded in 1988 to preserve, program, and promote the Spreckels Organ as a world treasure for all people.

All concerts on the Spreckels Organ are free to the public in accordance with the original Deed of Gift by John and Adolph Spreckels. Concerts are held every Sunday at 2 p.m. for one hour (rain or shine) and on Monday nights comprising the International Summer Organ Festival. The Society’s volunteers help to make concerts a special experience for the audience, with programs, greeting, and shared insights.

The City of San Diego oversees the use of the Organ Pavilion and funds the Sunday concerts, while the membership and supporters of the Spreckels Organ Society produce and fund the Organ Festival and other events such as Family Festival Days, artistic collaboration, musical scholarships, educational experiences for students, and special projects to improve the organ and the audience’s experience of it.

Membership in the Spreckels Organ Society helps to make this music happen, and ensures that the Spreckels Organ will continue to amaze future generations. Membership benefits include:
