THE K/D/M TRIO
Gilles Durot: percussion; Victor Hanna: percussion; Anthony Millet: accordion
The K/D/M Trio, an ensemble of soloists founded in 2008, performs contemporary musical repertoire in a number of ways. The flexibility of their line-up – ranging from soloists to a trio – allows them to tackle works from the instrumental history and literature of the 20th and the early 21st centuries.
The trio is developing a commissioning policy and works very closely with composers from different musical backgrounds. K/D/M Trio performances feature works by Gustavo Beytelmann, François Bousch, Alain Celo, Jean-Pierre Drouet, Lucas Fagin, Tomás Gubitsch, Clara Iannotta, Bachar Khalifé, Bun-Ching Lam, Grégoire Lorieux, Martin Matalon, Juan-José Mosalini, Luis Naón, François Narboni, Colin Roche, André Serre-Milan, Benoît Stasiaczyk and Francesca Verunelli.
The K/D/M Trio has played in a number of venues in France and abroad and was notably invited by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra to perform the world première of the K/D/M Concerto by Martin Matalon (a K/D/M Trio commission) in Doha, Qatar in 2001.
In 2013, the K/D/M Trio’s projects included an invitation to perform the final work of the Urbana cycle by the composer Luis Naón as part of the Ina-GRM concerts and a recording of an Alla Breve by the composer Clara Iannotta for Radio France.
Following on from their last CD, released in 2010 in the Meyer Foundation Young Soloists collection, devoted to seminal works by the trio with a preface by Pierre Boulez, the K/D/M Trio now presents a new disc entirely devoted to works by François Narboni.
