2015 New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival
The 2015 New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF) will take place on June 22-28 at the Abrons Arts Center and other locations across New York City. The festival will engage hundreds of new and established, national and international composers from over 30 countries through a line-up of approximately 30 electroacoustic music concerts. The 2014 festival included 263 works by composers from 31 countries. The works of music selected to be performed go through a rigorous 6-month application process, when we review the submissions.
All concerts will be presented in 5.1 or 8.1 surround sound. While much of the music is purely electroacoustic, the concerts will feature many prominent performing artists in the field, including Madeleine Shapiro, cellist, Mari Kimura, violinist, Esther Lamneck, clarinettist, and Gianna Trovalusci, flutist.
