Market Square Concerts presents Grammy award-winning Third Coast Percussion in a mini-residency which includes a performance of TCP’s new program “Perpetulum” at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, PA, as well as two educational outreach presentations: “Think Outside the Drum” for K-12 age students at Whitaker Center and a masterclass at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg for college level percussion students.

This project is one of the largest contemporary American classical music events in Central PA. Its role in advocacy for contemporary music and audience development cannot be overstated. The collaboration between several organizations required to make this happen is based in a uniquely collaborative relationships which Market Square Concerts enjoys with Messiah College, Harrisburg Symphony and Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, because of MSC directors’ affiliations with these organizations and their background as performers and educators.
